What types of powder coating colours are available at the Powder Coaters?
At our shop in Nanaimo, BC, we have 265 colors on hand. These colours represent a wide swathe of modern color tones that will suit most people’s needs. If you are uncertain about what colour is best, we can help you decide in our shop, or you can check online for a color that suits you by visiting prismatic powders. There you can choose from over 6500 different color types, gloss levels, and finishes.
The primary brands we deal with at the Powder coaters are Tiger Drylac, Beyond Powder, Axalta, and Spectrum. If you would like to know more about the specific colours offered by these brands, we encourage you to visit their respective websites and check their selections.
If you order a custom colour through Prismatic, it usually takes about one week to arrive. Depending upon availability, colours ordered through our other vendors may take up to three weeks to be delivered to our shop.
How do I choose my custom colours?
There are several factors that will influence your color selection. One of the most important things you want to consider when picking a color for your metal is the intended use of the item. In the case of car rims, many people want their rims to stand out, so choosing a bright color will be an advantage. However, if you are going for a more subdued look, a cooler colour may be more suitable.
We also offer different types of finishes and gloss that will influence the look and feel of your metalwork project. What do I do if I don’t see the colour I want?
If you cannot find the colour you want in our shop, and you don’t see it online at prismatic colors, we suggest you find the specific colour you want using the RAL colour chart to select your colour. You can then send us the RAL code via phone or email, and we will track it down through one of our many vendors. If you are unfamiliar with the RAL colour chart, there are resources available online, and one of the best places to check is ralcolor.com.
